Many years experience providing theray and expressive arts therapy with survivors of trauma...specializing in working with sexual assualt survivors individually and with groups. Over 20 years experience.

My philosophy is built on the belief that the creative process is healing...the arts heal. The arts provide opportunity to express that which too often remains unexpressed and that which is in need of expression. The arts provide ways to manipulate and explore concepts, ideas and experiences in ways that provide tangible results of intangible processes. The arts combined with therapeutic and stress reduction techniques provide tangible skills that can be learned and used at will to help work through troublesome experiences, moments memories, thoughts and feelings. The arts provide ways to arm ourselves with tools and skills necessary to live life in a healthy and authentic way.

You may also hire a henna artist for your special event. We are a group of local henna artists who can provide professional services for your special occasion and special guest. We are available for individual appointments, parties, corporate events, weddings, fairs, festivals.

Maureen provides training for individuals and groups as well as henna artist services. She also incorporates henna body art (Mehndi) into many of her expressive arts workshops.

We provide expressive arts workshops for private and public sector groups throughout Southwestern PA. Workshops occur at your site. All instruction and supplies are provided. Participants keep all products made during workshops. We have provided workshops for 10 years for varied populations including, sexual assualt survivors, women and men with chemical dependency, homeless shelters, children and families of women in chemical dependency, public and private schools children elementary through 12th grade, special education students, children and adults with physical, mental and emotional challenges. We adapt our curriculum to the population.
